What is the SSS ACOP Program?
The Annual Confirmation of Pensioners (ACOP) is SSS’s yearly proof-of-life program for pension recipients. Covered pensioners must report to SSS once a year to confirm they are still alive and eligible to continue receiving their monthly pension. This prevents pension payments from continuing to deceased members and protects the SSS fund. The program is governed by SSS Circular 2023-013.
Missing your ACOP compliance has serious consequences — your monthly pension is automatically suspended one month after your birth month if you do not comply on schedule. If the suspension continues for two years from the month of suspension, your pension is automatically cancelled. Resumption after suspension takes up to two months to process from the date you finally comply.
⚠️ ACOP Deadlines — Critical
Comply yearly, on schedule (keyed to your birth month).
Pension suspended: 1 month after your birth month if not complied.
Pension cancelled: 2 years from the month of suspension.
Who Must Comply with ACOP?

| Retirement pensioner in the Philippines — below 80 | Only if notified by SSS |
| Retirement pensioner residing abroad | Yes |
| Total disability pensioner | Yes |
| Death / survivor pensioner | Yes |
| Dependent child under guardianship | Yes — via representative payee |
Which ACOP Form Do You Need?
SSS uses three ACOP forms depending on the type of pensioner. Download the one that applies to you, accomplish it, and submit it through one of the compliance options below. The facial authentication option does not require a printed form.
- ACOP Form — Retirement or Permanent Total Disability Pensioner (PEN-01966)
- ACOP Form — Surviving Legal Spouse Pensioner (PEN-01967)
- ACOP Form — Representative Payee of a Dependent (Minor/Incapacitated) Child (PEN-01968)
All ACOP forms are also available at the SSS Download Forms page on sss.gov.ph.
How to Comply with ACOP
SSS offers several ways to comply. Choose whichever fits your situation.
Option 1 — Online Facial Authentication (PhilSys)
SSS offers an online ACOP option using facial authentication with liveness verification through the PhilSys National ID System — no branch visit and no printed form required. You must be registered in the PhilSys National ID System to use it.
- On the SSS website, click “Submit ACOP compliance” — or go directly to the ACOP facial authentication portal
- Confirm you are registered in the National ID System, then tick the box on the Data Sharing Consent and Undertaking page
- Enter your SS Number and date of birth, then click Submit
- Confirm your name and click “Yes”
- If you are a survivorship (death) pensioner, confirm whether or not you have remarried
- On the PhilSys authentication page, read the instructions, then click “Start Liveness” and take a live selfie
- On successful validation, a confirmation page appears — screenshot or print it for your records
Option 2 — By Email or Mail/Courier to Your SSS Branch
You can comply without visiting a branch by sending your documents to your SSS branch office. Send the accomplished ACOP Form together with one primary ID (or two secondary IDs) and, where required, a chest-level photo of the pensioner holding a current newspaper showing a readable headline and date.
- By email: send scanned copies to the corporate email of your SSS branch office, using the subject line “ACOP Compliance, Pensioner’s Name” (for example: ACOP Compliance, Juan dela Cruz)
- By mail or courier: send the documents addressed to your SSS branch office
Option 3 — In Person
Submit your accomplished ACOP Form and a valid government-issued ID in person at the Member Services Section of any SSS branch or service office, or at your depository bank. A representative may also comply on the pensioner’s behalf at the SSS Member Services Section, bringing the IDs of both the pensioner and the representative.
Pensioners residing abroad can comply through a video conference using MS Teams (request an appointment by email at ofw.relations@sss.gov.ph or the corporate email of an SSS Foreign Representative Office), or by email or mail/courier to a Foreign Representative Office.
Home visit — a home visit may be requested by any type of pensioner who is unable to travel. Submit a signed letter request stating the reason, along with a copy of the pensioner’s ID and a sketch of the location.
Frequently Asked Questions
My pension was suspended — how do I resume it?
Comply with ACOP through any of the available options. Once your compliance is verified, resumption of your pension takes up to two months from the date of compliance. All accrued pensions from the period of suspension are credited to your account, so you receive the payments you missed.
Can a representative comply on my behalf?
Yes. SSS allows compliance through a representative at the Member Services Section of any SSS branch or service office — this applies to retirement, survivor, and dependent-child pensioners. The representative must bring the accomplished ACOP Form and the IDs of both the pensioner and the representative. For dependent minor or incapacitated children, the representative payee complies on their behalf.
I live abroad — how do I comply?
Pensioners residing abroad can comply through a video conference using MS Teams, by email, or by mail/courier to an SSS Foreign Representative Office. To request a video conference appointment, email ofw.relations@sss.gov.ph or the corporate email of the nearest Foreign Representative Office and wait for SSS to confirm the schedule.
Do I need to comply every year?
Yes — for pensioners covered by the program, ACOP compliance is required every year for as long as you receive a pension, with no exception for those who complied the previous year. Comply on schedule each year to avoid any risk of suspension.
