About KnowMyGovt
Who We Are
KnowMyGovt is an independent financial information website built for regular citizens who want to understand their government’s financial systems — pensions, taxes, contributions, benefits, and worker rights — in plain language.
We believe everyone deserves to understand what their government owes them and what they owe their government. Unfortunately, most government websites are confusing, outdated, and written for bureaucrats — not for the average person trying to plan their financial future.
KnowMyGovt exists to fix that.
What We Do
We research official government sources — pension agencies, tax authorities, labor ministries — and translate that information into plain language guides, accurate calculators, and up-to-date rate tables that anyone can understand and use.
Every calculator on KnowMyGovt is built from verified official government data. Every rate table cites its official source. We update our content whenever government rates or rules change.
Who We Are For
KnowMyGovt is built for the regular worker — the employee who wants to know how much their pension will be, the freelancer trying to understand their tax obligations, the parent figuring out their maternity benefits. We are not built for accountants, HR departments, or businesses.
If you have ever landed on a government website and felt confused, overwhelmed, or unable to find the answer you needed — KnowMyGovt is built for you.
Our Coverage
KnowMyGovt currently covers the Philippines, Mexico, and Colombia, with more countries being added regularly. Each country section covers the same framework — pension calculators, tax calculators, salary tools, contribution tables, and worker rights guides — adapted for local laws and government programs.
